Ceramics is a material with ancient origins, embodying both tradition and versatility.
The term encompasses creations made from shaped and fired clay, such as terracotta, as well as those that undergo further processes of glazing, decoration and firing, such as majolica.

Each piece is a unique work of art.
The production process begins with clay mixing. We use a soft earthenware clay body, made from natural raw materials and specifically formulated to meet the needs of our artisanal production techniques.
After mixing, the clay body is left to rest for at least 48 hours. It is then purified and enters the production cycle. To minimise our environmental impact, the clay is recycled daily, ensuring that no material goes to waste.
The mould storage room reflects the wide variety of objects that Stylnove is able to create. Each mould holds its own story and gives shape to a unique creation, reflecting the manufactory’s heritage of experience, research and craftsmanship.
The beating heart of Stylnove's ceramic production. This is where everything takes shape: liquid clay is poured into plaster moulds, which absorb the water from the mixture, allowing the clay to gradually solidify and take on its intended form.
Once the desired thickness has been achieved, the excess liquid clay is drained from the mould. The piece is then left to rest for at least 24 hours, allowing it to gradually firm up and retain its shape.
Once the piece is ready to be removed, the mould is carefully opened and the ceramic form is gently extracted. Larger pieces require two people to handle them safely and preserve their integrity.
Before firing, each piece is carefully finished and smoothed using clean water until the desired level of quality is achieved. This delicate stage of production takes place in the department traditionally known as “Governo”.
Once finished, the pieces are placed in one of the six kilns at Stylnove's manufactory. Each kiln has its own specific characteristics and is suited to different firing processes, ensuring optimal conditions to enhance each creation and achieve the best possible result.
The first firing, during which raw clay is transformed into ceramic, takes place at a temperature of 1020°C. This process gives the piece strength and durability, preparing it for the subsequent stages of production.
After the first firing, the bisque-fired ceramic is ready for a variety of treatments and finishes: lead-free glazes, natural pigments, engobes, crackle effects and precious metal decorations applied through third firing techniques.
Inspired by the world of furniture and interior design, these finishes offer a less traditional alternative to ceramic glazes. The colour palette is based on the RAL and NCS colour systems, providing a wide range of shades, complemented by precious gold, silver and copper leaf finishes.
At the end of the production process, each creation is carefully packed in custom-made packaging, designed to ensure its protection during transport. From here, Stylnove's creations are shipped to destinations around the world.
